It was a great time and an adventure driving all that way in the truck without a heater and stop-n-go wipers! I thought I'd see more of Norfolk on our way in but we were bouncing around so much in the truck, I spent a lot of time picking stuff up from the floor. An hour out (near Yorktown ... all that was really pretty.)

It was great to meet you all. It would have been fun to spend more time around the trucks (downside of eating in a restaurant). And I cannot believe I missed 52Carl! I mean, you were sitting across from me (sorta) and it never clicked that THAT was you! You should make the trip up here to Homecoming. Lots more time to chat and lots of trucks to look at.

Hope you all can pull off another gathering. You have a good start with energetic Bolters!

Peggy, I was contemplating heading up to the Homecoming, but my work schedule won't allow it. I will make it to one of the other events coming up. The anticipation of wondering what people look like based on impressions gathered from discussions on websites was a lot of fun for me. You are as delightful in person as you are in print!

Really Sorry I was unable to attend... spent 12 hours driving... Had to do a round trip to South of the Border and back on Saturday to pick up the Youngest from Spring Break !! Ride down was wet, windy and nasty... Ride bad was twice as long due to TRAFFIC !!

Hope we can all meet up again sometime and hang out.

Glad everyone enjoyed and had a great time !!

Carl,

I'm sorry you won't be able to make it. The weekend is such fun. We just did Round #1 of food shopping today. We'll do Round #2 tomorrow.

I uploaded this the other day (in the wrong place) but I thought you all would get a kick out of seeing how much bumping around in Charlie, which makes me a poor camera person ... at least as the drive-by vehicle!

Looked at your video from inside Charlie. Man that was shaky! How many times did the truck roll over during that video? smile

Carl,

I had a doozie of a time. There was nothing for me to hold on to. Those road bumps were something else. One bump, everything on my lap and the seat ended up on the floor. I needed to hold on to something in order to pick it all up ... I finally just shoved my fingers in the window space.

Hope the Highway Admin folks take care of that before our next trip down smile We may have to get those moon-bounce kind of tires if they don't!

Peg
