1953 3100. I'm putting it back together. At the moment, I can't find my accelerator rod. I may eventually run across it, but for the moment does anyone know where to buy one?

Place a Want Ad in the Swap Meet.

Indicate that you have a 1953 truck 216 engine.

Sounds like its time to clean up the shop. That's how I find most of my lost parts. smile

It might be worth a shot to try Jim Carter's and ask someone to look for it in their used parts collection.

Thanks guys. @52Carl...you got that right, AND get some proper lighting.

Someone offered up one. I'll give it just a few days, and try to clean up the garage.

Go ahead and pick up the new one. Nothing, I mean nothing makes missing parts show up as well as buying a new one. The second most effective way to make a missing part show up is to accuse your wife of throwing it out. The part which you are missing may not be worth the 'cost' of option #2.

Ok 52Carl, gets the prize.

I found it. Somewhere along the line, it fell into a box. Soooo, cleaning out the work area and I found it.

Thanks

There, you see? Sometimes it IS acceptable/productive to post sarcastic, smarty-pants responses. smile

I used a piece of my old rocker arm oil line for quite some time, I got one from Pre-68 Dave, and eventually found the original. so now I have two that don't fit with the fenton headers...
