What is the best (preferred, best looking, etc) way to route the wiring for my fog lamps? . I seem to remember when I took the truck apart 10 years or so ago that the wires were snaked through through the bumper bracket holes in the lower panel, which now seems a bit cheesy to me.

What are the thoughts on putting penetrations in the fenders, using black wire loom, and a suitable grommet?

You may or may not like the following: I added a total of four lights to the front bumber of my streetrod. The first two are parking lights. They are called "Visibolts" and are yellow LED's flush mounted to a center drilled SST bumber bolt. I ran the wires through the bottom of a bumber brace/fender gasket and used black RTV to glue them to the bottom of the brace which is painted black. They are competely hidden except where they leave the bottom of the brace to enter the back of the bolt. The next two are called Trippe lights which are old timey running/fog lamps and are mounted to the bumber braces with clamps. Here I used SST sprial wrap flexible hose to run the wires in. They run from the bottom rear of the lamp buckets to a small hole I drilled in the fenders. I didn't want to drill the holes but all other fit-ups (like running them under the fenders) looked sloppy.
