I hve just put the engine back in my vehicle, and I'm doing some testing with the timing, etc, engine not running. I have had the key on for a couple of minutes, and I noticed that the coil is so hot, I can hardly keep my hand on it. I have rechecked the wiring, and don't see anything wrong. This is a 12 volt system, with a patronix in it, and patronix coil. I have run this set up for 5 years, with no problems, but it has been almost a year since run last. I don't remember a coil getting this hot, is this normal, and I just never noticed it? Any comments appreciated. Thank you for your help.
