Going thru the pile of stuff that came with the truck.
So far I've been unable to identify these two items:
#1: Looks like a crossmember / mount of some kind. My driveline is all mounted complete and nothing I see matches. Link:

For #2, it a steel rod, square section, about 2ft long, with a thumbscrew and spring in one end,and the other a small bolt. Link:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1 appears to be shaped like an AD grille but it is hard to judge the size of it from here.

I don't think #2 is a truck part unless you have a pretty early truck.

Without knowing what year or model you have, I can only say what it does not fit. It does not fit any 1947/1955 Chevrolet or GMC 1/2 ton trucks and probably any other series either. The crossmember looks like a newer model, 70's, 80's or newer…………g

#1 looks like a trans cross member for a later model. Maybe the PO was planning to upgrade the tranny. #2 I have no clue.

Its a 51 half-ton....just updated my signature.
The PO did have a SBC he was intending... I didnt get it as I want to keep the six for now. Will try to add some better pix with tape measure to the photobucket.
