A Chevy pump will not work on a 248.

GMC parts rarely come at a fair price. That is why you have to be special to own one.

GMC waterpumps are hard to find but there are rebuilders. A guy on oldGMCtrucks.com reported good results on Commercial Water Pump. He said his was $75.

I found a pump for my 270 GMC on the A1 Cardone site. Since I couldn't buy it direct from them, I purchased it from JC Whitney.

Wayne,

What is the part number?

Let us know how this works out for your engine.

Tim,

Part number is 59-8012

It is working great. I bought it last September and have driven it over 1000 miles.

I did have to change the pulley with the one I took off my truck. It was the wrong width.

Cost was $115 with $30.50 core charge. Net price $84.50.
