47 3100. I've did the search but not much help. How does the vent door come off this thing. I have the open/close lever arm off but not sure how to get the door out. Two flat head screws in there but not inline to get a screw driver on. I'd like to keep the vent and this is the last thing to remove to start body work. I can not see how you would even get a weather seal in place with out removing the door.

There are two bolts to the lever and two to the inner bracket. That is it, just be careful you don't break that inner bracket loose then you will be in some trouble.

Get a long handle and come at them like this. I would suggest a good soak in penetrant oil first.

Was looking through your photos on flickr. Good stuff. I'm curious though where you found the decals/labels for the "defroster" and "warmer" on the heater? Also where you sourced the defroster hoses? Thanks

I bought mine from Classicparts.com check items 68-555 and 68-882. Here is a better view of those two screws that kswillie was asking about.

I was working on it in my driveway a guy drove by offered me $1500 cash as is. I needed the money at the time and sold it. Been kicking myself ever since as I now have a nice shop with adjoining office where I could have placed it.
Looked like this when I sold it. Lights were wired to and old AF/X wall plug 12-volt adaptor.

If you have any tips for someone who is considering building one I'd be open to any you may have. I've found several cars that would work, but they were either wanting too much, or it was a complete car and I can't bring myself to hack the back end off of a good one. Trying to find the rear half of one will be a needle in a haystack.
