Has anyone done front drum to disc brakes on 1941-46 GMC or Chevy? Have found 6 lug rotor kit that will work. The big question is the brake booster to go in frame. Found boosters for 1947 in frame can this be used with some modification . Hope someone can help me make my ride a safer ride. My ride is a 1945 GMC. Long box.

use a 7" booster you will need a duel master cyl for disc brakes. the hole in the floor will have to be moved so you can fill it. if you are using the stock running gear the trans mount will have to be mod.+ brake lines

I used a 1 inch bore m/c. It stops fine without a booster.

When I die, I hope she doesn't sell everything for what I told her I paid for it!
