It is a single lever action shock. I have taken the end cover off and found that the piston is rusted and ceased in the bore. Can this piston be removed to reused or am I SOL and need o find another shock that is not ceased?

I'd try soaking the assembly in something like PC Blaster and see if it might come out. Not sure, but if there was room to run a brake wheel cylinder hone in the bore ahead of the piston might remove the corrosion ahead of the piston. if the cylinder is rust much, it would probably have to be sleeved.

I think Whitedog just posted what you need in the for sale section. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,248 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,248 | Yeah converting to tube shocks used on the later AD trucks would probably be the best way to go.....
