I've been looking for a bit at paint buffers. I think I've decided on the Dewalt DWP849X variable speed polisher. Anybody have anything to say about these buffers either good or bad?

Just got it today. I'm going to try to bring back the shine to Barry this spring.

I bought a Dewalt 847 some years ago which looks like the same buffer as your 849, just an older version. I use mine quite a bit and have been very happy with it.
