I picked up an original ignition switch from ebay. my question is in a 58 fleetside standard maodel, did it have the starter swith floor mounted, when i picked the truck up the po have put a v8 and auto trans in it, a very bad job. Now i don`t have a clue as to the starter set up. the switch is basicly an on/off switch. any info. Thanks mike Bourg

if the truck came with the 235 it had the foot start and the simple on/off switch - if it had the 283 it was equipped with the acc/on/off/start style switch - the correct V8 switch is available from the repro vendors ....

To add to this.......That is the only switch they carry. Anyone needing the 6 cyl switch, don't bother ordering from them. Send Mike a PM and buy his.
