The width is perfect and the built in seatbelts are great. Just wanted someones experience before I start cutting and fabbing. My best advice is to block the seats up to determine the height you want, then make some kind of mount that goes between the buick seat frame and your trucks floor. I used 4x2 steel tube, 2x2 steel tube, and angle iron That way if you need to change or adjust something in the future, you can just adjust the frame you made and the frame of the Buick seats are not messed with. Love the 9' box on your '54. I have also installed '04 Buick seats in my '54 3800...check out the pics in my 3800 Photobucket.
I used all scrap uni-strut from a hospital Xray demo job. I have more pictures. I didn't upload them all, if needed

Thank you for the pictures, they are very informative. I see that you relocated the fuel tank to make more room for the seats. I might need to look into doing that as well. Thank you again!
