| | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 49 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 49 | I have (2) sets of 16" (6 lug) rims from a 53 Suburban project and I just realized (2) of the rims are 16" (6 lug) x 8" wide. Did suburbans come with that size rim or would these maybe be from a truck?

The 1953 Suburban is a truck. The Suburban's standard and optional wheels were the same as for all 3100 series trucks.
6.50 x 16" wheels (4.5" rim width) was standard equipment.
There was no optional 8" wide rim (15' or 16").
