Is there any information on how many 1947 . 5 window 3100 were made.

No one has ever posted that information.

No one has ever posted GM documentation on how many of each model/series trucks were made in 1947.

Thanks for the reply. Tclederman, I have two AD 1947's one is a 3 Window the other 5. Both are just rollers. I know that 5 window trucks are more desirable for some but I guess I'm just trying to figure out if it would be better to restore the 5 window to original or just go all out since there's no way to tell if rare enough to keep it original.

What does "go all out" mean - would that mean something different on a 3 window vs a 5 window?

A $40,000 restoration of a 1947 Chevrolet five window truck will be worth about $25,000 - $30,000 in most markets and the same goes for the restoration of a 1949 Chevrolet five window truck. Although the 1947 is unique, most people don't know the subtle differences to make a value assessment IMHO Do with it as you please unless it is so original that it could be considered a low mileage survivor that you don't have the heart to modify it.
