For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,232 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,232 | Gents, I am planning on attending homecoming this year for atleast a day. Can someone give me the address or directions? Also, i may have a potential issue that i need the ODSS's brain power (smarts) to take care of. I took the bracket off of my truck that holds the rear leaf spring. the hingespring doesn't fit. I am trying to get it fixed before, but wondering if anyone can help... i was told i need an 11/16th tap to clean up the threads.

I have a lot of taps but not sure what you need or are trying to do? 11/16" is not a very common tap/thread size, what is the pitch you need? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,232 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,232 | Grigg,
i found a place called "the restoration shop" down in stafford. They are going to call me with the pitch and see if they can do it. Just curious if anyone has heard of Ralph down there. "www.therestorationshoponline.com" Going to talk to them about doing a few projects for me such as rebuilding my 216 and street rodding it a little but keeping it like it would have been in the 50s. | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,716 62401 | | 62401 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,716 | Chris,
Homecoming, and the ODSS Braintrust (such as it is ...), will be at:
41370 Friendship Ct, Mechanicsville, MD 20659
Slap that into your GPS and it should zorch you right here.
Looking forward to meeting you. Bring your project and we'll help!
John

Was that the same bolt I helped you with or the other side? I am more than happy to take a look at it for you if you want.

I took it into the shop and they ordered the correct Tap for it since the restoration shop didn't have it! Should be done soon and then i will have a rolling chasis until i take the front axle off for the 4" drop on it.
We need to get together sometime. I would love to learn from you.. by the way, are you going to homecoming russell? | | |
