Does anyone have any information on where I can purchase the proportioning valve and lines? The Dual Master came with the vehicle. I want to do the front brakes separate from the rear just in case there is a line or wheel cylinder leak. don't want to go crashing headlong into anything! Heard there was something in Speedway, but haven't looked at it yet. | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 339 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 339 | Jim, you don't need a proportional value unless you are going to do disc brakes. With a dual master cylinder, you have one hole for the front and the other for the back. Yes, Speedway has what you need. root | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 Renaissance Man | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 | I plan to switch from the original single compartment master cylinder to a Dual compartment Master Cylinder for safety reasons. CPP (Classic Performance Products) is the vendor but I went thru Brothers Truck Parts. Their catalog has everything you need. I am sure there are others, but that was my experience.
The nice thing about dual MC is you are totally separating the front from the back. I just felt that while I was at it, a person could take that opportunity to add the disc brake kit. | | |
