I plan to switch from the original single compartment master cylinder to a Dual compartment Master Cylinder for safety reasons. Does anyone have any information on where I can purchase the proportioning valve and lines? The Dual Master came with the vehicle. I want to do the front brakes separate from the rear just in case there is a line or wheel cylinder leak. don't want to go crashing headlong into anything! Heard there was something in Speedway, but haven't looked at it yet.

Jim, you don't need a proportional value unless you are going to do disc brakes. With a dual master cylinder, you have one hole for the front and the other for the back. Yes, Speedway has what you need. root

Where's the fun in that? I thought that was what the parking brake was for. smile

If you take a look in my bolt bucket (below) you will see dual MC, disc brakes and the new square hole you need to cut out to fill the MC. CPP (Classic Performance Products) is the vendor but I went thru Brothers Truck Parts. Their catalog has everything you need. I am sure there are others, but that was my experience.

The nice thing about dual MC is you are totally separating the front from the back. I just felt that while I was at it, a person could take that opportunity to add the disc brake kit.
