Does anyone have an easy way to remove the brads which hold the top of the front inner fender (on a 46 chevy 3/4 ton)to the fender. Some of the same brads are used on the lower part of the grille where it connects to the 'grille to bumper' splash apron. Some of them seem to be made of brass or am I hallucinating? Thanks in advance!

Are you sure there not staples? The only way I know is to cut them in the middle with side cutters then straighten them out and remove. root

They are actually rivets, not brads., They are the same as the ones used to attach the 2 hood halves to the center hinge.

The best way is to drill them out, or if you are careful the heads can be ground off, & tap them out with a punch.

I beleive replacement rivets are available as well as the tool to install them.
