have a 48 gmc 1/2 ton, the whole parking brake system has been ripped out, not sure what I need for parts, also be nice to have a diagram what it all looks like, never hooked one up before, thanks...

I've got the same problem on my '53 Chevy 1/2 ton. PO removed all the innards of the parking brake and left nothing but the cable sticking in the hole. American Classic Truck Parts lists the strut and spring (part numbers BR2425 and BR2426), but I've been unable to find the lever anywhere. If you locate one (or two) would you let me know where you find them? Thanks

Here is a picture of the parking brake parts you will need at the back for huck setup. I got lucky and found a rear axle someone had scrapped for my parts.
