Hi:

I'm trying to find longer wheel studs for my '62 C10. The stock ones (which I have) are Wheel Studs, 7/16 in.-20, 0.564 in. Knurl, 1.313 in. Length. I'm looking for something more like 1 1/2 inch, or longer, with the same size knurl and thread. Anyone seen any?

Thanks!!

Glen

In my area here in the states I'd take my old one with me to the local parts store. Most of them will let you "look through them" to find what you need. Its worth giving it a shot in your area.

Dorman has a 610-179 that is 1.75" long, and 610-130, 610-131 that are 2" long.

Why not upgrade to a 1/2 stud while your're at it? Probably won't cost anymore. There's plenty of them with the same knurl diameter as you have.

Napa shows one. It is .555 dia. knurl. & 1.547 length measures from the from the bottom of the head to the end. Part # 641-1106.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Wow! Thanks guys. This is the info I need. I do like the idea of upgrading to 1/2 inch though!

There is no need to upsize from 7/16" to 1/2" wheel studs. The only way to do so, is to have the rear stud plates & the front hubs drilled, to receive the larger diameter studs.

There's no need to drill, if they have the same knurl diameter.

The 7/16 studs neck down.
