In the process of changing wires, points, etc, the little black housing that resides on the outside of the distibutor where the negative wire from the coil attaches broke in half. is that a part you can get seperately at NAPA?

I realy doubt it will be available from the auto parts store. Possibly the specialty stores have it. American Classic or LMC.

Purney,

Scratching around in the recesses of the old mind I thought those insulators were made in two pieces. Does it have a outside half and a inside half...both held together by the little screw/bolt! If this is how it is configured, I think that it's fine. Might be all wet though!

yes you are exactly right. The outside half broke in two.
