Most places (at least here in the states) don't require you to put turn signals or parking lights on a vehicle that didn't come with them unless you don't have a left arm.
Lots of guys have used fog lamps attached to the bumper for this purpose.
You might also put some lights directly on the fenders, too, like they did in the old days, but that would involve drilling holes in your sheetmetal, and the "fender" lights don't look very nice.
