another nice thing about the 302 is there is some fella still making 12 port heads, (aluminum) I am pretty sure his name is Mike Kirby, @ Sissels automotive. Even if you don't want/can't afford one it is a cool website to go to. If I were to swap out the 216, I would definitely go with the 302.
