Deve , I was pretty sure that would be the problem , but I did the bench bleed , and after this issue , I cracked the line on the M/C outlet and pumped plenty of fluid out there as well.
In desperation , I have disassembled the front brakes again , I see , after road tests , that the linings are just touching at the tips , for about 2", on one wheel and on the other , there are several random contact points . It looks like a poor match , I'm going to the brake shop who arced the shoes to see what they have to say.
