Have you checked the sending unit, make sure you have no brakes in your wire, just take the sender out, put a meter on the sender both terminals move the float up and down and if it reads check the wires, if the wires are'nt bad check the gauge. But I would check the sender or the wires first. check the wires with a meter with the ohms setting. good luck
