Here my situation,Have a 53 3100 with 6 volt system that I want to keep as close to origional as possible. I've put on a air conditioning compressor made by York that has a 12 volt clutch coil.I want to put on a 12 volt generator and 12 volt regulator to run the compressor coil 12 volt battery that also runs to my 6 volt starter. I need to know what resistor value I need to put on the regulator to run the rest of my 6 volt items on the truck and keep the 6 volt battery charged also. I dont think that the 6 volt load will exceed 20 amps I/E lights radio etc normal driving. Or I can rewind the 12 volt clutch coil with double size wire 1/2 windings to make clutch pull down coil to 6 volt. Does my conversion of rewind clutch coil work? | | |
