Until this topic popped up again, I had forgotten to do a follow up. It all worked fine just prying with a flat bar with no heat needed. I than body worked everything square. The bed and tailgate are reinstalled although not bolted down yet as I haven't acquired the oak bed wood my son-in-law made for me. I have the hard wood blocks, but have misplaced (It's an age thing.) the rubber insulators.
Anyway, thanks for the advice I've received. As usual, Stovebolters always come through.
