After insuring there was enough lube in the steering box I adjusted the bearings and gear lash as per the Chev. manual and some posts in this forum. Then checked king pin , tie rod and draglink for lube and smoothness of travel, weight off wheels.
All seems to move smooth with no binding. The steering box adjusted well with little lumpiness or binding. The steering still will not return to center in a right turn. Left turns seem to be fine.
Any ideas appreciated. Time to rebuild the box ? | | |
