the only real issue with GMC rod swaps is you have to get custom pistons made, as they are longer and have larger pins. The pistons aren't cheap, probably around $600 for a set W/ pins and rings. possibly a bit more. Ross and venolia will make custom pistons for certain, and there are probably more. It is all about what you want. But I do know it isn't any more expensive than a big hot rod motorcycle, or a boat.
