When I spoke to the glass people they warned me against filling the channel with Urethane because you can never get the glass out. So I put 1/16 inch setting tape in the frame in the bottom of the groove. Then spaced the glass so it has an even gap each side of the frame and calked one side and let it set overnight then the other side.
