If you use urethane windshield caulk I spaced the glass from the frame with small pieces of the setting tape (in the bottom of the channel). I then spaced the glass from the side I was not caulking so the glass was centered. Then masked the frame and glass and caulked the gap. Don't set the complete glass in the caulking or you will never be able to remove it if it gets broken. Then let dry 24hours and flip over and caulk the other side. Make sure you seal around the center strip too.
