1956 half ton. It's been running great and starting up on the first crank since I finished the project two years ago. Last night the temps here dropped dramatically. It's in the low 20s here right now. With the key on, the starter sounds funny, like it's kind of spinning. With the key off, starter sounds normal. I can get it to start, but it will only stay running if I keep my foot on the gas a little. As soon as I let up on the gas, it quits. I haven't touched anything under the hood. The only thing that's changed (as far as I know) is the weather. The weirdest thing is the way the starter sounds. Totally weird with the key on. Normal with the key off. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks.
