I have a VW engine that uses the stock centrifical adv. dizzy with a custom Hall Effect (magnetic) sensor inside, with the HEI coil & trigger module is mounted on the firewall. It's a 40,000+ volt system, & except for the sensor all the parts can be had at any parts house & can be upgraded with common performance parts.

To do your truck, you need a sensor pickup that fits your current dizzy, the Pertronix unit would be a good bet. Then all you'll need is the trigger module & a remote HEI coil, mount them in a small enclosure on the firewall and you're set to go.

2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI

I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just MY opinion!
