I have a 49 1/2, and removed my original 216 for a 235 that came out of a 61 impala. Dropped it in my pick-up and couldn't get it to start, found 4 stuck valves. I am now soaking it in penetrating oil but dont feel good about it. My question is, can I remove the heads off of my 216 and put them on the 235? Also, will I need to have the 216 heads rerworked? Wasn't having any problems with the 216 starting and running but I did have a smoking problem with it. Also could someone give me a ball park figure of what I can expect to pay for the work? Sure would appreciate any advice you guys could give me. Thanks so much.
