Agreed. Epoxy primer is great as a stand alone product.
I just looked and SPI does carry a gray primer, but as Allen said, the gray will show through when there is a chip in the paint.
BTW from what I have seen the SPI epoxy primer does not come off with brake fluid. Not like other coatings I have seen do this.
