What engine does it have? Trans? For sure a '39 or so as has been said. That body style had 360(OHV) or so gassers, 4-71's, 5 speed direct(gasser) or 5 speed OD(diesel). Could also have inherited Buick 6 cyl gassers, probably not likely, though. If same running gear as CCKW, etc., could also have 270 GMC gasser w/ 4 speed.

I had a similar vehicle, '41 to '47 body style, 228 or so engine, 2WD, 1.5 ton running gear, was radio vehicle, had big gen. hooked to driveline. No px.

'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
