one tail light was standard on trucks until the 60's, turn signals were optional or 3rd party until the 60's, not sure there was any GM option signals in 41, but usually the early trucks that got signals had extra front lights mounted on the fenders - there would have been an optional 2nd tail light available, but again, extra lights for the rear signals would have been common
