I wanted to put a layer of memory foam on the '48 seats thinking it would be really comfortable.
When we mocked it up, it was obvious that it wasn't going to be good.
Unlike dense upholstery foam, memory foam responds slowly and compresses more. It just doesn't respond to bumps, shifting around, jouncing etc. nearly as well.
