(...) My experience with rust has been that far more of it is caused by blocked weep systems retaining debris and moisture than lap joinery.
while my experience has been with panel bodies, which don't have 'weep systems' where the inner and outer body panels are pinched welded the entire length of the quarters, the major rust problem on them
