You know, I did a search for heater switch and smoking switch and your thread didn't come up in either. Course I only went back about 5 or 6 threads in both results and didn't come up with a thing related to what I was searching for.
But mine is doing just as your's did. My light is bright when set on high also.
Looks like it's SOP for these switches to run hot.
