Been working my new switch and rebuilt heater/defroster lately and that switch definitely runs hot.
it's a
variable resistance type switch and it runs hotter when it's turned down to run the 6v motor slow. It smoked the 1st couple times I ran it but it seems to have burnt off whatever packing/grease etc that may have been on it when new. It still gets so hot that you can't touch the porcelain and metal backing.
Is this SOP for this setup?
