| | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 36 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 36 | Hell guys, I just picked up a nice 41 pickup with a 216. My question is about the putting the temp probe in the head. I've talked with a fellow who sent me some pics of his probe in the head but mine will fall right though the hole. His engine is a 41 and I looked up mine and it's dated 1940. Did they use a adapter when they put the probe in a 1940 head? I don't believe I can just throw a pipe reducer in there because I think the sensor has machine threads and not pipe threads on it.
