12 volt is easier on wiring than 6 volt because its half the amps. I think you are saying you want to upgrade the vehicle to 12 volt. If that's the case you will need a new voltage regulator, blower motor for the heater, horn relay, fuel sending unit, light switch ( for the dimmer part) and new bulbs including headlights ( please note that for some components you can wire a resistor in line that will drop the voltage to six volts approx. so you don't have to replace components.). The stomp switch is just a huge switch with big copper components, no need to change that out.

I probably swim against the tide on this one but I would rather have the original 6 volt system. It worked just fine for a lot of years.
