There is starting to be some decent info from the other guys on the truck. The one piece of information that I found most interesting is that GMC actually used a modified frame for the 3-71 powered big bolt AD trucks. If you want to put a diesel in yours vs the 261 I may suggest using a 3-53, 6v-53 or something modern for that. I know those 53's are put in pickups every now and then. The only 71 series I know of going in a pickup was a 2-71 in a late 70's chevy. | | |
