those one size fits all (in any environment) tend to not work as well as the original manufacturer's part. I wanted to get a genuine Delco and there are a lot of them on ebay with a lot of different part numbers, Kennethw steered me in the right direction and I bought a NOS Delco unit on ebay that has a slightly less max current than the 111843 but should work just fine.

P.S. I cannot be sure which generator I have and it has no tag. I just know its six volt
