45 and 55 amp generators were used on Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and some Pontiac applications. I don't believe Chevy 6 cylinders were equipped with anything above 35 amp, but with a longer mounting bracket and a correct regulator the high-output generator could be retro-fitted.
