About a year ago, Cosmo and I went to DB to celebrate his marathon Overdrive overhaul. It was my first trip there and the place was just amazing. Sitting at the bar that day I pictured an afternoon with my brothers there so they can share the same experience I had.

Never in a million years would I think so many of you would be able to get together like yesterday. Even more impressive was the amount of Vintage Iron in the parking lot. Both Chad, Chris, and the entire Devil's Backbone staff were amazed at how many of us came. They have never had a group exceed their expectations like we did yesterday.

Finally the most amazing thing yesterday was that everyone DROVE those trucks there. Now before someone jumps on the Big Bolts, I will defend them by saying that I know BOTH trucks would have made the drive, but chose not to for time purposes only.

It takes a certain level of risk and confidence to take a truck that is 50-60 years old and make into a roadworthy machine capable of the miles you all traveled yesterday. This forum is the media we all use to learn, and as John says "none of us are as smart as all of us" and I thank the Millimans for giving us this playground to play in each day.

Yesterday was a celebration. A celebration for all the hard work we put into those trucks and the people that help us along the way. Every once in a while we need to stop and smell the roses and yesterday was a real treat.

Thank you all for coming, I can't wait to do it again. I mentioned to the GM yesterday that we would like to make DB the official brewery of the ODSS and they agreed. They want to improve our already great relationship. So look for more things to come!!!!
