I have read the posts and searched the vendor catalogs but I am still not clear about the bushings that go inside the shift arms. Now these are the two arms that come out of the shift box which is mounted on the steering column under the hood. The two control or shift rods that come from the transmission connect here. There must be a bushing in here otherwise there would be waaay too much slop.
Classic Chevy calls out part number 91-061 and they are sold by the pair - that makes sense to me, two arms so a bushing in each arm.
Jim Carter however calls out part number ME102 and says I need 6 (where would I put six of them and remember this is a 54-55.1 truck?)
The truck shop calls out 47-05008 and says that I need 4. These also have a metal sleeve and I believe I read one of the posts saying this metal sleeve is no good.
So, I really just need two right? In which case Classic Chevy is the way to go.
Thanks for your input.
Joe
