Thanks, Colin. I'm beginning to get my arms around this. I believe that if I put my bed on the frame at a "stock" height (I'm looking into buying pre made mounts) then I may only need to lose 2" in bed depth. The "dropped" version they advertise sits cab 2" lower and would require the 4". And yes, my truck is a '54 longbox, which I will be sectioning to make a shortbox.
I'll be hitting you up for info before this gets underway.
