I don't like to assume things because it always backfires on me, but I assume the reason the gear lever is easily removed on the SM420 is for installation reasons. Is it so that I can remove it, install the tranny and install it back on by removing the tranny cover. Also, can the tranny be in gear when doing this? That is to align the splines.
