I changed my 38 hoses basically as they suggest above. I used a reinforced spiral hose for my lower like the ALLSTAR brand that summitracing carries. That was a direct replacement to what was on there previously. It went on fairly easy with a little elbo grease.
I like it enough to change the top hose to the same.
